Deportees from US to Africa say they were “treated like slaves” | DW News
Three women who fled LGBTQ+ persecution in Ghana were deported from the United States to Cameroon. This was part of the Trump administration’s secretive and highly controversial deals with at least 30 countries to accept people it cannot legally deport directly to their home countries. The deportees told DW they were shackled “like terrorists.”
