Peter Baker on Trump’s failure to sell Iran war
While other U.S. presidents have not been transparent with the public about previous wars, The New York Times’ Peter Baker said the difference with the war in Iran is that it is “a war that the American public never supported to begin with.”
“This war started out with more people against it than were for it,” Baker said, adding that President Donald Trump has “made no effort, it seems like, to win people over by explaining why it’s important.”
