Amid conflict in the Middle East and rising oil prices, ExxonMobil reported a quarterly profit of $14.5 billion, more than doubling the same quarter last year. After OpenAI’s revelation about its agent hacking Hugging Face, Anthropic checked its own agents’ behaviors…and found that on three occasions, Anthropic’s own agents have also hacked external systems. Cofounder and CEO of AI safety research non-profit Far.AI Adam Gleave discusses the risks of rogue AI agents and the work we can do to “raise them” properly. Plus, Microsoft and Amazon stocks are surging on quarterly financial reports, global debate over FIFA’s private equity plan is heating up, and New York State is suing Kalshi, alleging that the platform allows illegal betting.
