The US Federal Reserve, under new Chair Kevin Warsh, has appointed three Indian-origin experts—including former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan—to high-level task forces rethinking inflation, interest rates, jobs, and the economy. Rajan will serve on the influential Balance Sheet Policy Task Force, reviewing the Fed’s trillions in asset holdings. Harvard economist Raj Chetty co-leads the Data Task Force, while Microsoft’s Asha Sharma joins the Productivity and Jobs Task Force.
