Guy Spier on living with glioblastoma: “I know that I have to celebrate today”

Glioblastoma is a rare and aggressive brain cancer. There are no truly effective treatments for the disease, with the median survival for a patient lasting just 15 months after diagnosis.

“Somehow I’m going strong,” value investor Guy Spier, who was diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma in 2024, tells CNBC’s Becky Quick. “Every day is basically a gift. So I might as well celebrate.”
