Explosive Leak: Chinese Firms Allegedly Helped Keep Iran’s Missile Program Alive

China’s role in Iran’s missile program is under fresh scrutiny after leaked documents reviewed by Iran International allegedly linked Chinese, Turkish and UAE-based firms to a network supplying key missile-fuel chemicals to Iran’s IRGC. The files also claim plans to ship thousands of tons of sodium chlorate and sodium perchlorate—materials used in solid-fuel ballistic missiles—and suggest oil revenues were used to finance the purchases.

The revelations come as Beijing continues diplomatic outreach with Washington, raising questions about whether China was playing a double game on Iran while assuring U.S. President Donald Trump that no weapons would be supplied to Tehran. China and Iran have not publicly confirmed the alleged shipments, while Beijing has previously denied accusations of aiding Iran’s missile program.
