FCC chair on Disney’s ABC broadcast license review: ‘There’s no company above the law’
Disney’s ABC filed renewal applications for eight of its broadcast station licenses on Thursday after the Federal Communications Commission launched a review years ahead of their scheduled expiration.
FCC Chair Brendan Carr told CNBC Friday that the early renewal process was not related to First Amendment matters and was important to ensure Disney was “fully responsive” to its investigation into the company’s DEI practices.
