Rivian CEO and founder RJ Scaringe and OpenAI Chairman Bret Taylor work in different industries. RJ in cars. Bret in tech. But increasingly they are both working with artificial intelligence.

Both have recently founded AI companies. Sierra is Bret’s firm, and it’s focused on building bespoke AI agents for companies like Rivian to use for customer service. Mind Robotics is RJ’s startup that is building AI-powered robots for manufacturing.
