Trump says he wants Warsh to be independent as Fed Chair
President Donald Trump said, during a swearing-in ceremony for incoming Fed Chair Kevin Warsh, that he wanted Warsh to be “totally independent” in his new role.
Warsh was sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas at a pivotal moment for monetary policy and the American economy.
