Health officials say the risk of hantavirus to the general public remains low as they investigate an outbreak on a cruise ship that killed three and sickened several others.

But concerns have emerged online about the evacuated passengers from the MV Hondius, how the virus spreads and how worried the public should be, especially on the heels of the COVID pandemic.
