Lutnick testifies in House Oversight Epstein probe
U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick faced questioning Wednesday from the House Oversight Committee over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
A person familiar with Lutnick’s testimony told PBS News that he met with Epstein three times over the years, including once at Epstein’s private island. But the federal case files showed the two had kept in contact via e-mail.
Lutnick is the first current Trump administration official to testify before the panel. He has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
