Hyperscalers have to ‘bear the full cost’ of energy they use: Abel on data centers
Berkshire’s CEO Greg Abel said it is important to sequester the energy use costs of data centers away from grid consumers and make sure they’re being billed to the businesses demanding the electricity.
“The hyperscalers, the data centers, and the users of energy – they have to bear the full cost,” he said at the 2026 Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting.
