Roblox blocks chat for users under 9-years-old
Roblox shares plunged the most in more than four years on Friday after the video game company reported fewer daily users in the first quarter than analysts expected, due to safety features it implemented to restrict how kids can use the platform.
As of January, users who don’t participate in an age check may not be able to chat with others on the platform. By default, Roblox now blocks the chat function for users under 9. Here’s what CEO David Baszucki had to say
