Crowds gather in San Francisco to see ‘Chonkers’ the sea lion

Crowds gathered at Pier 39 in San Francisco, California, to catch a glimpse of a large sea lion visitors have nicknamed ‘Chonkers,’ one of at least two Steller sea lions spotted among the smaller California sea lions this month. Claire Cook, an educator at the Aquarium of the Bay, said Steller sea lion appearances were unusual.
