Meta is tracking employee keystrokes on Google, LinkedIn, Wikipedia for an AI training initiative


Meta plans to lay off 10% of its workforce, about 8,000 employees, as it continues ramping up investments in artificial intelligence.

The layoff announcement follows news that Google, LinkedIn and Wikipedia are among hundreds of websites and apps where Meta plans to capture employee keystrokes and mouse clicks as part of a project to train its AI models, according to internal messages viewed by CNBC.
