Authorities say eight children were killed in a “domestic disturbance,” with the victims ranging in age from 1 to 14 years old.
The shooting occurred around 6 a.m. on Sunday in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Shreveport Police Department public information officer Cpl. Christopher Bordelon said a total of 10 people were shot.
Officials said they are still gathering details about the crime scene, which extended across three locations.
Bordelon said the suspected shooter was fatally shot by police during a vehicle chase.
